Mike Jones was raised in Virginia in the purebred beef cattle business, educated at Virginia Tech, member of their judging team under the coaching of Dr. Gary Minish. Mike spent five years as eastern field representative for The Drovers Journal working purebred cattle and hog sales throughout the east and midwest. After attending Superior School of Auctioneering in Decatur, Illinois, Mike launched his auction career in 1978 and has been self-employed since 1980 as a full time purebred auctioneer. Mike has worked at all levels of the purebred industry working with the most elite cattle breeders in the industry as well as serving the small breeders at state and regional consignment and private production sales.
